Painting Miniatures

I am going to gradually expand this section when I have time.

Delving into the miniature painting hobby can be intimidating, but there are many good resources on the internet to help you. I will list a few of them here, and I will also provide you with a quick summary of my experience and suggestions.

Reading the Beginner Painting Guide Part 1 is a great place to start, but the advice is tailored for metal miniatures. Since I primarily paint Reaper Bones miniatures, I need to look elsewhere for additional advice.

I can tell you from my experience with a few Reaper Bones miniatures that priming the miniature is not necessary if you start with undiluted basecoats of Reaper Master Series Paints. I have painted two miniatures without priming, and I have been very happy with my results. I did prime two Reaper Bones miniatures with a Citadel brand spray primer, and there was not adverse reaction with the plastic.
